Become a Nurse’s Aide
Winchester Hospital offers a nurse assistant training class that teaches patient care skills including personal care, infection control, safety, transfers and vital signs.
Students who pass the 75-hour state approved course receive a Nurse Aide Training Certificate. This certificate is required for the state certification exam to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA).
Requirements to participate in this class are:
Entrance Exam, Registration and Fees
After passing the entrance exam with a score of 90 percent or higher, each student will complete a registration form. Full payment of $750 for the course is required to register ($25 of which is paid in advance to take the pre-entrance exam). Upon passing the entrance exam students will then be required to pay remaining cost of $725 on the day of the pre-entrance exam to register for a course. Payment may be made by MasterCard, Visa, cash or certified bank check. Personal checks are not accepted.
We offer both a day program which meets Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 8:30 am - 1:30pm and an evening program which meets Monday - Thursday 5:30 pm - 10 pm and includes two Saturdays 8 am - 4 pm.
